Barry Humphries’ family says his death ‘leaves a void in so many lives’
Barry Humphries has died last night on 22 April 2023, following complications from hip surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney He was 89. He had previously suffered a fall in February.
The family of beloved Dame Edna Everage comedian Barry Humphries have issued a statement announcing he has died aged 89, adding he was “himself until the very end”.
For 89 years, Barry Humphries entertained us through a galaxy of personas, from Dame Edna to Sandy Stone. But the brightest star in that galaxy was always Barry.
