Charges following Reservoir incident

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following an incident in Reservoir yesterday.

The man was arrested without incident on Gilbert Road in Preston at about 2.40pm.

The arrest follows an incident at a property on Willoughby Street shortly after 8.20am on 8 March where a 29-year-old Reservoir man was killed and a 65-year-old Reservoir woman was seriously injured.

A 32-year-old Reservoir man has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

He has been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 9 March.
