Renew your licence online

Renew & pay for your licence online when it’s due for renewal. Renewal notice can be found from within your myVicRoads account. Complete renewal, make the payment and new licence will be sent.

Learn more about licence renewals or take me to myVicRoads.

Check your demerit points which reflect how safe you are as a driver?

With myVicRoads, checking your demerit point total is now just a few clicks of your fingertips. Remember, all drivers start with zero demerit points, so having zero points is as good thing!

If you do have demerit points on your account and want to find out a bit more, like the type of offence, when it happened and how many points you incurred, you can order and pay for a 5-year driver history report, and this will get sent directly to you by email. ( Cost unknown / not disclosed.)

Don’t forget, following the road rules will help you avoid getting any demerit points against your licence
and will help to save lives. Learn more about demerit points.

Buying or selling a vehicle?

Whether a buyer or seller of a private vehicle, you can now complete the transfer of vehicle online. After selling a vehicle, you can notify VicRoads of the transfer immediately, so you have peace of mind that the vehicle has been transferred out of your name.

When buying a vehicle, after the seller has notified us of transfer, you’ll be able to complete any outstanding vehicle requirements, submit your Certificate of roadworthiness & make a payment all from myVicRoads account. No more attending a VicRoads office to finalise the transfer process!
